Introducing…

Monotype is a font company looking to reimagine typography as an active participant and messenger in a social tension between freedom, and law and order.

Created Dyslexia Bold, a font that stimulates dyslexia, not for readability, but understanding.

People are aware of the school-to-prison pipeline, but few know the role learning disabilities play. The reality is 50% of inmates have dyslexia, 80% of which are functionally illiterate. The legal system wasn’t designed for dyslexic minds—but it punishes them anyway. The justice system assumes everyone can read it—but half of inmates can’t. Our campaign immerses people in the minds of dyslexic inmates, exposing how the legal system unfairly punishes those who struggle to read. By simulating the experience of navigating justice with dyslexia, we reveal the absolute disadvantage faced by those the system was never designed for.
